Lolev is seeking a Packaging Technician to join our production team. This position is primarily responsible for operating and maintaining our canning line, including a 12-head Palmer counter-pressure filler and depalletizer.
We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced brewery production environment. Previous experience operating Palmer Packaging equipment is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Operate our 12-head Palmer counter-pressure canning line
Operate and monitor the depalletizer (Depal) and associated packaging equipment
Set up, start up, operate, change over, and shut down packaging equipment
Monitor filler performance throughout production runs and make adjustments as needed
Maintain proper fill levels, carbonation, can seams, and overall package quality
Perform routine quality-control checks during packaging runs
Identify and troubleshoot common equipment and packaging-line issues
Minimize product loss and packaging waste
Maintain accurate packaging and production records
Perform cleaning and sanitation of the filler, packaging equipment, and production area
Assist with preventative maintenance and routine equipment upkeep
Keep the packaging area clean, organized, and safe
Assist with moving finished product, packaging materials, and empty cans as needed
Work closely with the brewing and production team to keep packaging schedules on track
Qualifications
Previous Palmer filler/canning line experience preferred
Previous brewery packaging, beverage manufacturing, or similar production experience preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to troubleshoot equipment
Ability to follow SOPs and maintain consistent quality standards
Strong attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Comfortable working around wet floors, chemicals, pressurized equipment, and moving machinery
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Forklift experience is a plus
What We’re Looking For
The right person takes ownership of the packaging line. You should care about producing a consistent finished product, keeping the equipment running properly, reducing beer and material loss, and leaving the packaging area better than you found it.
Experience with a Palmer counter-pressure filler is a major advantage, but we’re also interested in candidates with strong packaging or mechanical experience who can learn the equipment quickly.
